Modivcare Spreads Holiday Cheer and Kicks Off a New Year in Virginia

VA 4

Modivcare is dedicated to supporting its members and is proud to be involved in the local communities it serves. This holiday season, our local Virginia team participated in many special community outreach initiatives to show our gratitude and support for our members. Our team wanted to ensure that patients felt cherished and remembered during this festive – but often challenging – time of the year.

Ballad Health Cancer Center-Norton, VA

In December, our team donated blankets to Ballad Health Cancer Center – Norton, a local cancer center. Ballad Health Cancer Care – Norton is committed to caring for all patients’ needs during their cancer battles and we’re proud to support their mission and offer patients additional support during the holiday season. The blankets were carefully selected in hopes of bringing warmth and comfort to local patients as they undergo their treatments. We were honored to spread holiday joy to the center’s patients.

Fostering a Sense of Community and Care

In addition to blanket donations, we had the privilege of visiting two HopeTree Family Services residential group homes in central Virginia. HopeTree Family Services Group Homes provide 24-hour residential support as well as teaching and coaching life skills in homes that range from four to eight individuals. We were honored to visit the residents and deliver gift bags filled with cozy socks, back scratchers, puzzles, games, notebooks, vinyl stickers and stuffed animals. The gifts were meant to offer comfort-focused items to the residents while fostering a sense of community and care during the holiday season. Through this gesture, we were grateful to have had the opportunity to brighten the residents’ holiday season.

In addition to the residential group homes, our team had the opportunity to visit a skilled nursing and rehab center, Heritage Hall of Grundy, in Buchanan County. Heritage Hall offers a multidisciplinary approach to address the care needs of patients and residents. To spread holiday cheer to the residents, we provided holiday gift backs filled with cozy socks, puzzles, crochet pocket hug hearts, inspirational cards, games and fun stickers. Modivcare designed these gift bags to bring the residents joy and entertainment during the holiday season. Our visit was met with appreciation and gratitude from the staff, making it a truly heartwarming experience for everyone involved.

Modivcare is thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the residents at Heritage Hall and the HopeTree Family Services Group Homes, and we are proud to continue fostering a spirit of kindness and community.

Modivcare is committed to better connecting people with care and we hope to bring a sense of community and support nationwide and in the regions we are part of, such as Virginia. We’re proud to support local care venues and connect with patients through community outreach programs.
