Faisal Khan joined Modivcare in January 2023 as Vice President & Associate General Counsel and was promoted to Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in September 2024. Mr. Khan’s career has focused on serving clients dedicated to improving access to care for underserved populations. Faisal has served as internal legal counsel for health-tech and life sciences companies, academic health systems and physician groups, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, over the span of his career.

Prior to joining Modivcare, Mr. Khan was Senior Counsel leading the provider practice at Nixon Gwilt Law, a nationally recognized healthcare innovation law firm. Faisal previously worked in the Offices of the General Counsel for The MetroHealth System and University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). During Mr. Khan’s tenure at DHHS, he was awarded a detail serving as the Special Assistant to the General Counsel and was an integral part of the legal leadership team that helped to launch the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Faisal is Chair of the Hospitals and Health Systems Practice Group of the American Health Law Association (AHLA), and former Chair of AHLA’s Enterprise Risk Management Affinity Group.  Mr. Khan serves on the corporate boards of various non-profit organizations in Northeast Ohio, including a non-profit mental health and social services organization that cares for underserved children and adolescents. Faisal received his Juris Doctor from University of Wisconsin Law School where he was a recipient of a Samson Fellowship and his undergraduate degree with honors from Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Khan is licensed to practice law in Ohio, New York, and Wisconsin.
